From the Hip

Shooting from the hip is a challenging but fun technique that involves shooting without looking throught the viewfinder.  This allows the photographer to create a greater emotional connection with the pet by focusing completely on him or her. In this imgae, Elijah was very close to me and the depth of field is very shallow at 2.8.
